In 2015, the team behind Monarc introduced rice cookers and stand fans to small business owners to give to their customers, clients, and employees as gifts and raffle prizes. For the next 4 years, Monarc expanded its range of appliances to include gas stoves, refrigerators, washing machines, kettles, and more. Whereas family, friends, and small businesses were happy to find a brand that made it easy to fulfill their gifting needs, we saw a problem: shelves across hundreds of retailers already carried the same products coming from the same factories. As consumers ourselves, we decided that the market no longer needed yet another generic line of appliances on crowded stores.
In 2019, we set out in a new direction: Become a brand that sells simple yet innovative products that help busy parents spend less time cleaning.
At Monarc, we choose not to have too many product options nor sell products with superfluous features. Three principles guided us as we assembled our collection. These are:
- Clean design
- Simple to use
- Practical price point
Self-AwarenessWe are fully aware that you don’t really need our products. After all, the basic broom and dustpan, boiled water, and ordinary soap and sponge already do the tasks our products help with. One thing we do hear from customers time and time again though is that our products are the most used products in their homes and offices. While you can certainly live without Monarc, we can certainly help make your daily routine just a little bit better.
